On the Arizona Gondola at Snowbowl, experience the full range of what the Grand Canyon State has to offer from the top of the San Francisco Peaks, with stunning views of six major biomes spanning from desert to alpine tundra. From north to south, see some the most iconic locations in the Southwest – the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and the red rock formations of Sedona – from a brand new perspective. As you travel from 9,500 feet (2896 meters) all the way up to the summit elevation at 11,500 feet (3505 meters), you’ll find yourself immersed in a place worlds apart from where you started.   • September 3 to 26: Fri-Sun 10am-4pm.
  • October – Late October:  Mon-Fri 10am-4pm and Sat-Sun 9am-4pm.

Scenic Gondola Tickets

All tickets must be purchased online. 10am–12pm, 12–2pm, and 2–4pm sessions are offered during regular operations, and 9am-10am sessions are offered on select weekends. Pricing varies by day – for the best price, buy tickets early and get additional discounts when you select a morning session or midweek ticket. Kids 3 and under ride free!

Summer at Snowbowl

How long is the gondola ride?

Each ticket is valid for one round-trip ride on the Arizona Gondola, with a one way ride time of approximately 10-15 minutes.

Can I ride on a chair instead of a cabin?

For an enhanced experience, all rides are offered in gondola cabins.

Can I use my season pass to ride the gondola?

All season passes are valid for the specific winter season they were purchased for and cannot be used for summer rides or activities at Snowbowl.

Can I get off at the top of the Arizona Gondola?

Yes! You may get off and walk around at the top of the Arizona Gondola. Interpretive rangers and staff will be on-site to provide additional details about the geological and cultural history of the San Francisco Peaks and surrounding areas. A short hiking trail offers access to an observation point in the alpine tundra environment, and all guests are asked to stay on established trails and pathways to prevent disturbances to endangered plant species at the top of the mountain.

Can I enter the resort to buy food/drinks or shop the retail store?

Yes! Whether you’re riding the gondola or just passing through Snowbowl, we welcome all visitors to stop by the restaurant for a bite to eat and to get essentials or keepsakes at the retail store.

Is there mountain biking at Snowbowl?

We’re looking forward to bringing mountain biking to Snowbowl in future seasons! In the meantime, our sister resorts Purgatory, Brian Head, Pajarito, and Spider Mountain all feature lift-served mountain biking. 2021/2022 Power Pass and Power Pass Select passholders get unlimited access to Spider Mountain year-round!


Changing Your Tickets

Q: How can I change my tickets?

A: You can change your tickets anytime up to midnight (11:59 p.m MST) the night before your visit. Simply email [email protected] before the change deadline and our team will be happy to assist. All requests are processed based on the time the email is sent. If sent within 48 hours after purchase and up until midnight before the ticket is valid, you’ll be eligible for a full refund. If sent after 48 hours of purchase and up until midnight the ticket is valid, you’ll receive a resort credit for the value of your tickets that may be applied to future purchases (expires April 30, 2022). Requests submitted on the day of or after your ticket is valid cannot be honored, and your purchase costs will be forfeited.

Q: Can I share my credit with a friend or another family member?

A: Yes! You can use your credit for yourself or anyone else.

Q: If I purchased a ticket, can I use that credit for something else?

A: You can apply your credit to any summer or winter tickets. All credits must be used by April 30, 2022.

All rides and attractions at are subject to closings and cancellations for weather or other conditions.  Restrictions apply including, but not limited to, capacity constraints and other closures and height/weight/health restrictions.

All summer activities at Snowbowl including the scenic gondola are weather permitting. Rates are subject to change at any time without prior notice. Guest assumes the inherent risks associated with the operation of all rides and attractions and should read and obey all safety signage, instructions and rules. All guests are required to complete a Release of Liability Form before participating in any activities.
