What’s Great About Snowbowl

Sunset at Snowbowl

There is no better place to “beat the heat” from Arizona’s hot summer days than at Snowbowl, just north of Flagstaff! As the largest city in northern Arizona, Flagstaff is only a short and beautiful 2 1/2 hour drive north of Phoenix. Flagstaff’s average daily temperatures range from 75-80 degrees, which can easily be 30-35 degrees cooler than typical Phoenix Valley temperatures!

Ava the Avalanche Dog

Located within the largest ponderosa pine forest in the country, Snowbowl is rooted in nature. Whether you explore the trail system (by foot or bike!) or stick to the Scenic Chairlift, you’re in for a scenic experience you’ll never forget!

One of the most popular attractions at Snowbowl is the Scenic Chairlift that ascends to 11,500 feet in elevation. With views of Sedona’s red rocks, the San Francisco Volcanic Field, and the Grand Canyon from the Scenic Chairlift, you’ll experience a bird’s eye view of Northern Arizona’s most impressive geography. At the top, interpretive rangers are available to give information on the breathtaking scenery.

Ready to relax? You’ll find everything from tasty cuisine and refreshing drinks to giant versions of classic kids’ games (like Connect 4) on the Agassiz Deck. There, you can zen out and enjoy the natural beauty and friendly atmosphere of Snowbowl!
