Opening Day is November 21!

Opening Day is November 21!

It is always an interesting decision to make when to open the ski area.  No two seasons are ever alike but with our impressive snowmaking system, it has become more certain.  All we need to do is take advantage of every cold night and make as much snow as possible.  With daily evaluation, the mountain operations team and I, push and groom until we determine there is enough snow to open. This year October and November have been warmer than normal and our production was limited.  However, this past weekend provided the best production yet.  Enough snow has been made for us to ski and snowboard from the Midway unload station on the Agassiz chairlift to the bottom.

Our whole staff has been very hard at work getting the season underway and we look forward to seeing you on the slopes this winter.  I would like to acknowledge and thank our hardworking, dedicated staff that play an integral role in opening the mountain for all to enjoy.

Here’s to a great season ahead!
