Scenic Gondola Ride FAQ’s
How long does the ride last?
Each ticket is valid for one round-trip ride on the Arizona Gondola, with a one-way ride time of approximately 10-15 minutes. Guests may unload at the top of the Arizona Gondola during summer operations.
Can I use my season pass to ride the gondola?
All season passes are valid for the specific winter season they were purchased for and cannot be used for summer rides or activities at Arizona Snowbowl.
Can I ride on a chair instead of inside of a cabin?
For an enhanced experience, all rides are offered in gondola cabins.
Can I bring my service animal on the gondola?
Service dogs may ride the Arizona Gondola with their owner. Please read through the Service Animal Policy prior to your visit.
Can I enter the resort to buy food/drinks or shop at the retail store?
Yes! Whether you’re riding the gondola or just passing by Snowbowl, we welcome all visitors to stop by the restaurant for a bite to eat and to get essentials or keepsakes at the retail store!
Is there mountain biking at Snowbowl?
We’re looking forward to bringing mountain biking to Snowbowl in future seasons!
In the meantime, our sister resorts Purgatory, Brian Head, Pajarito, Lee Canyon, and Spider Mountain all feature lift-served mountain biking. 2024/2025 Power Pass passholders and 12 Day Power Pass passholders get unlimited access to Spider Mountain year-round!
How can I change my tickets?
You can change your tickets anytime up to midnight (11:59 p.m MST) the night before your visit! Simply email [email protected] before the change deadline and our team will be happy to assist. All requests are processed based on the time the email is sent.
If sent within 48 hours after purchase and up until midnight before the ticket is valid, you’ll be eligible for a full refund. If sent after 48 hours of purchase and up until midnight the ticket is valid, you’ll receive a resort credit for the value of your tickets that may be applied to future purchases (expires April 30, 2025).
Requests submitted on the day of or after your ticket is valid cannot be honored, and your purchase costs will be forfeited.
Can I share my credit with a friend or another family member?
Yes! You can use your credit for yourself or anyone else.
If I purchased a lift ticket, can I use that credit for something else?
You can apply your credit to summer tickets, summer activities, dining, retail, or winter lift tickets.
Can I apply my credit to a future season?
Yes! Credits may be used on lift tickets, dining, retail items, lessons, rentals, and even season passes. Please note, all credits must be used by April 30, 2025, and if you choose to use it on a 24/25 season pass, your season pass will not be eligible for the 0% interest payment plan and must be paid in full at time of purchase.
What is the weather/refund policy?
Weather in the mountains can change quickly and unexpectedly; this includes but is not restricted to lightning, hail, and below-freezing temperatures. Our operations team follows a strict inclement weather protocol with both guest and employee safety as their top priority.
While we do not offer a refund on tickets, we do make your purchase risk free by assuring that if we suspend operations for more than 30 minutes due to weather in the area, you will receive a resort credit for any unused tickets to come back at a later date this season.
All members of your party must be present with their proof of unused tickets. Receiving a resort credit will forfeit the rest of your day’s visit. Once the lift and/or attractions reopen, distribution of resort credits will cease.
All rides and attractions are subject to closings and cancellations for weather or other conditions. Restrictions apply including, but not limited to, capacity constraints and other closures and height/weight/health restrictions.
All summer activities at Snowbowl including the scenic gondola are weather permitting. Rates are subject to change at any time without prior notice. Guest assumes the inherent risks associated with the operation of all rides and attractions and should read and obey all safety signage, instructions and rules. All guests are required to complete a Release of Liability Form before participating in any activities.
