History was made on December 21, 2024 – the new Aspen Chairlift is now open for all to enjoy!
The new Aspen Chairlift is a fixed grip, quad chairlift that services 4 new trails, Giddy Up, Lupine Lane, Chipmunk Chase, and Jackrabbit plus the existing trail, Aspen Meadows.
The new Aspen Chairlift replaces an older double chairlift that dated back to the 1960s. The base of the new quad lift has been realigned 190 degrees north of the previous lift, creating an improved skier flow and expanding the resort’s ski terrain within the current USFS Special Use Permit area.
With this addition, Arizona Snowbowl offers the largest beginner terrain in the Southwest, reaffirming our commitment to creating a welcoming environment for first-time skiers and snowboarders. The new lift reduces ride times, more than doubles the uphill capacity of its predecessor, and elevates the overall learning experience.

All 8 chairlifts are open offering access to beginner, intermediate, and advanced terrain.
