Ski & Snowboard Lessons for Kiddos!

Arizona Snowbowl offers a variety of lesson options for children ages 4–12, as well as 1-hour private lessons for ages 3 and up.

Whether it’s their first time on the slopes or they’re ready to build on existing skills, our experienced instructors create a fun and supportive learning environment.

Looking for a longer program? Check out Snowburners, our 6-week lesson program beginning in January each year.

All lessons must be reserved online in advance.

Ages 4 – 6

SkiWee & Mini Rider Lessons

Designed for ages 4–6, SkiWee & Mini Rider lessons introduce young skiers and snowboarders to the mountain in a fun, safe, and supportive environment.

Lessons are tailored to each child’s skill level and focus on building confidence while learning the basics of skiing or snowboarding.

SkiWee & Mini Rider lessons are offered at multiple times throughout the day.

Mountain Kids Lessons

Mountain Kids lessons help older children develop their skiing or snowboarding skills in a structured and engaging environment.

Instructors group students by ability level and focus on skill progression while keeping lessons fun and encouraging.

Mountain Kids lessons are offered at various times throughout the day.

Ages 3+

Private Lessons

Private lessons offer personalized instruction tailored to your child’s ability and goals.

Perfect for first-time skiers and snowboarders or those looking to refine their skills, private lessons provide focused coaching in a one-on-one setting or with a small group of friends or family.

Ski Wee, Mini Rider & Mountain Kid Lesson Programs

Midweek (Monday – Thursday)

Price – $50 (AM Class) & $35 (PM Class)

Class Durations – 10 AM – 12 PM & 1 PM – 3 PM

Day-Of Surcharge Fee – $5

Weekend (Friday – Sunday)

Price – $100 (AM Class) & $70 (PM Class)

Class Durations – 9 AM – 11 AM (Beginner Only), 10 AM – 12 PM, & 1 PM – 3 PM

Day-Of Surcharge Fee – $5

Holiday (12/19/25 – 1/4/26, 1/16/26 – 1/19/26, 2/14/26 – 2/16/26)

Price – $125 (AM Class) & $95 (PM Class)

Class Durations – 9 AM – 11 AM (Beginner Only), 10 AM – 12 PM, & 1 PM – 3 PM

Important Information

Important Information

  • Parents must be present for check in and pick up.
  • A lift ticket or season pass is required to participate in all lessons.
  • Rentals are not included in the price of the lesson. Rentals must be added online at the time of purchase.
  • If purchasing rentals, please arrive 1-2 hours before your scheduled lesson time.
  • Lessons start on time, so please be ready at the check in area at the base of the Hart Prairie Lodge no later than 15 minutes before your lesson start time. If you miss your scheduled lesson by 15 minutes or more, you may be asked to come back at a later time based on availability.
  • Groups will be formed based on ability and age.
  • Sick and contagious children will not be admitted.
  • We ask that parents remain on Snowbowl property for the duration of their child’s lesson, in the event of an emergency or illness.

Reservation Policy


Due to the popularity of these programs, reservations must be made online and in advance. Day-of lesson reservations may be available but are subject to availability. For more information please contact us at [email protected].

Allow enough time to get fitted for rental equipment, have your child use the restroom, dressed, and ready to ski/ride.
