The countdown to winter is officially on.

Arizona Snowbowl’s 2026/27 season is scheduled to open November 20, 2026 – just 100 days away. When the lifts start spinning, skiers and riders return to the mountain for another season in northern Arizona.

After a summer of dreaming about first chair and crisp winter mornings, opening day suddenly doesn’t feel so far off. Mark your calendars, start pulling your gear together, and join us as we count down the final 100 days to winter.

El Niño, Mountain Enhancements & More to Look Forward to

With El Niño in the forecast, we’re already dreaming about the deep turns and powder days that make winter at Snowbowl worth the wait. No seasonal forecast can guarantee what Mother Nature has in store, but the possibility has us even more excited to see how the 2026/27 season unfolds.

We’re not just waiting on the snow – we’re investing in the mountain. Snowbowl is putting more than $1 million into resort enhancements ahead of the 2026/27 season, including:

  • A brand-new 150-foot conveyor lift for beginners
  • Enhanced gladed tree skiing in our high-elevation terrain
  • RFID tickets and passes to get you on the slopes faster
