Arizona Snowbowl Invests in Forest Health, Terrain Enhancements and Resort Upgrades for Winter 2025 – 26

Snowbowl is unveiling an exciting lineup of capital improvements aimed at nurturing a healthy forest, elevating Arizona’s premier tree skiing experience, and rolling out thoughtful upgrades to make the upcoming winter season better than ever.

Forest Health Meets Fresh Tree Runs

This summer, we’re prioritizing forest restoration by removing dead and downed trees – helping to reduce forest fuels and keep our mountain environment healthy. These efforts don’t just benefit the ecosystem – they also open up exciting new gladed terrain for skiers and snowboarders.

Whether you’re an expert weaving through trees or a beginner looking to explore more natural terrain, these new areas offer a broader range of options within the resort boundary.

Upgraded Rentals, Smarter Tech & Smoother Visits

Your day on the mountain should be as seamless as possible – and we’re making that a reality with a range of guest experience upgrades, including:

  • 1,200 new ski boots from Dalbello, Elan, and Lange
  • Over 1,000 new Smith helmets for added safety and comfort
  • Upgraded point-of-sale systems for faster checkouts
  • Expanded Wi-Fi coverage throughout the resort

More Snowmaking = More Days on the Slopes

We’re enhancing snowmaking capabilities near the Humphreys Chairlift, which means more beginner and intermediate terrain will be ready earlier and stay open longer. This means more consistent conditions, a longer season, and a better experience for skiers and riders at every level.

Last season, Snowbowl opened on November 8 – our earliest opening ever and stayed open through June 1, marking 185 days of skiing and riding. With the new upgrades, we’re aiming to keep the momentum going.

A Commitment to the Mountain and Our Community

“These investments reflect Snowbowl’s long-term commitment to providing an authentic mountain experience at Arizona’s premier ski destination,” says Angie Grubb, Marketing Manager at Arizona Snowbowl. “By prioritizing forest health, trail maintenance, and resort enhancements, Snowbowl strengthens outdoor recreation in Arizona, ensuring each visit is better than the last.”
