Your Perfect Day Itinerary

Use this guide as a checklist to plan the ultimate day at Arizona Snowbowl! For questions or trip planning assistance, please call Guest Services at 928-779-1951.

Before You Arrive

  • For the biggest savings, purchase your lift tickets at least 48 hours before you arrive. Learn more.
  • You can also purchase your rentals and lessons online, too. (Wondering if you need a lesson? Read our guide.)
  • If you need lodging, Ski Lift Lodge offers the closest lodging to Snowbowl. Holidays and popular weekends often sell out – secure your reservation by booking early. Learn more.
  • Check the weather the day before your trip and be sure to pack layers. See our tips on what to bring.

Your Morning at Snowbowl

  • Before you leave, check the snow report to see today’s conditions.
  • Find driving directions here. Arrive at least 30-60 minutes before the lifts open (especially if you’re taking lessons or picking up rental equipment) – you’ll want to allow more time on busy weekends and holidays.
  • Whether you’ve purchased your tickets online (find our ticket specials here) or need to buy a ticket, you’ll get your lift ticket at Hart Prairie Lodge – the ticket windows are outside the building. Read more tips on your first day at Snowbowl.
  • If you have time before the lifts open, grab a bite to eat or coffee at the Hart Prairie Restaurant. We recommend a Sundance sandwich or a breakfast burrito!
  • Depending on your skill level and the terrain available, here’s where we suggest starting your day:
    • Beginners: Head over to Hart Prairie to take a few laps.
    • Intermediate and Advanced: Ride Snowbowl’s first and only high-speed 6 person lift. We suggest Ridge to Phoenix trails on the Ridge side of the mountain for steeper and more challenging runs, or Midway Catwalk to Logjam in the Bowl side to longer cruisers.
  • Make sure you take a photo at the top of Agassiz Chairlift with spectacular volcanic field and North Rim of the Grand Canyon in the backdrop! Be sure to tag us at @azsnowbowl – we love to feature guest photos.

Your Afternoon at Snowbowl

  • Snowbowl offers several dining options – try the new Fremont Restaurant for lunch!
  • If you haven’t been to one already, check out one (or all!) of Snowbowl’s three terrain park. Sunset Terrain Park is Snowbowl’s signature park.
  • Keep an eye out for Ava, Snowbowl’s avalanche dog!
  • Other popular trails you’ll want to visit include White Lighting, Lava, or Route 66.

Apres Skisnowy cheers on deck

  • When the lifts close, our restaurants continue to serve meals and offer happy hour specials. Enjoy them inside our lodges or sit outside and watch a spectacular sunset.
  • The fire pit outside Agassiz Lodge is a perfect spot to warm hands and re-live your favorite moments of the day.
  • Ski Lift Lodge also offers an amazing restaurant with daily food and drink specials!
  • Last but not least, start planning for your next visit. We look forward to seeing you again at Snowbowl!
