Your First Day at Snowbowl
Welcome to Arizona Snowbowl! With average temperatures in the low 70s, our resort truly transforms into the coolest spot in Arizona during the summer. The highlight of every visit is our scenic chairlift, which transports you across breathtaking scenery to our mountain summit at 11,500 feet. Snowbowl also offers hikes through wildflower meadows, weekly concerts, mountain dining and the most spectacular sunsets in the world.
We know you’re going to love Snowbowl – here are a few tips to help you along the way:
What to Bring
Our mountain temperatures are quite different than those in Flagstaff, Phoenix or anywhere else in Arizona! Temperatures average in the 70s in our base area, and it’s even cooler at the scenic chairlift summit! Bring layers: we suggest a jacket or sweatshirt and a hat. You’ll be amazed by the scenery of the scenic chairlift and at the summit, so make sure your camera is with you, too. If you forget anything, we’ve got you covered: the Agassiz Lodge Retail Store carries the essentials you’ll need!
Where to Start
Whether you’ve purchased your tickets online (find our ticket specials here) or need to buy a ticket, you’ll get your lift ticket at Agassiz Lodge. At Agassiz Lodge, you can also shop at our Retail Store or try one of our restaurants. Games and live music are available on the back deck throughout the summer!
What Else to Enjoy
Snowbowl offers endless hiking options (free and open to the public), and our mountain is home to an 18-hole disc golf course that’s free to play. The annual Summer Concert Series includes weekly concerts, street-taco inspired meals and extended lift hours. At the top of the scenic chairlift, a Forest Service interpretive specialist will greet you and answer any questions regarding the biology, geology, and history of the region.
