Mountain Capital Partners is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to be based out of Arizona Snowbowl. The coordinator will support the marketing team out of Durango and work closely with them to ensure accurate advertising, correct communication, and promotional calendars. The coordinator will implement the social media policy and respond to inquiries from all social media outlets. The marketing coordinator will also execute the lodging program, promotions with outside retail outlets, coordinate events, and foster strategic partnerships. Elk Ridge – Mountain Operation Manager – Full-time, Seasonal Or Year-Round
Arizona Snowbowl is currently recruiting for a Mountain Operations Manager who will lead and manage all aspects of winter operations at Elk Ridge Ski and Recreation Area. Lift Mechanic – Full-time, Year-Round
The Lift Mechanic will inspect and maintain ski lifts to ensure that they are mechanically and operationally sound for guests. Vehicle Maintenance Manager/Diesel Tech – Full-time, Year-Round
The Shop Foreman will oversee the daily operations of our vehicle maintenance shop. This position includes some administrative duties with the majority of time spent repairing all types of vehicles and equipment. The Foreman will oversee two other mechanics and their daily tasks. As an Auditor, you will audit daily cash reports and input summaries into Excel spreadsheets. You are very detail oriented.
The Vault Cashiers collect all daily deposits, verify cash amounts are correct and other miscellaneous cash handling duties. Banking experience preferred but not necessary.
Bussers are responsible for maintaining a clean and well-organized lodge; bussing tables, stocking condiments, washing windows, vacuuming, dusting, remove trash and shoveling snow (a very important position).
Cooks have a basic cooking knowledge and have excellent prep skills. As a Cook, you will do everything from flipping burgers and preparing deli sandwiches to serving and washing dishes. You are responsible for keeping the kitchen clean and must have Coconino County Food Handlers card.
Prep cooks have a basic cooking knowledge and have excellent prep skills. As a Cook, you will do all preparation for the scramble area and certain hot food items, food labeling and washing dishes. You are responsible for keeping the kitchen clean and must have Coconino County Food Handlers card. Prep shift would typically be in the afternoon starting at 2 pm.
Our Food & Beverage (F&B) Cashiers operate a high volume, pre-set, Point-of-Sale (POS) system. You should have knowledge of our menus, products, and pricing. You will ensure that you are knowledgeable in the check-in and cashing out policies, and balancing your register. As an F&B Cashier, you will also stock condiments and products as well as perform various cleaning and bussing duties.
Ticket cashiers are one of the first faces our guests encounter. You are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the ski area and Northern Arizona as well as the various ticket, rentals, and lesson options. You will be able to handle money accurately and efficiently.
Guest Services Associate
The job title is self-descriptive with Associates performing every function that has to do with guest services and the resulting challenges. Includes issuance of special program and promotion tickets, groups (from booking to arrival), lost and found items, answering questions, issuing snow checks and/or refunds, resolving complaints, directing traffic and whatever else may come up.
Lift Operator/Ticket Checker
Lift Operator/Ticket checkers do just what the name implies. They assist passengers on and off lifts, operate and understand all lift controls, safety circuits, telephones, etc., They also check and validate all passenger’s tickets and passes, provide assistance to guests, inform and encourage guests and continually monitor and maintain ramps and surrounding area, with a smile and in a safe manner.
Locker Room Attendant/Custodial
Lodge Attendant ensures and maintains the cleanliness of the lodges; including locker rooms, restrooms, outdoor areas and other areas as assigned. As well as positive interactions with guests, along with the ability to answer general questions about the resort.
The Lodge Housekeeper ensures and maintains the cleanliness of both lodges; the locker room, dining areas, restrooms, and other areas assigned. This all takes place after normal operating hours.
To be a Mechanic or Mechanic’s Helper, you must have previous mechanic experience or be naturally mechanically inclined. You are in charge of maintaining a fleet of heavy equipment: snowcats, snowmobiles, and passenger vehicles. These positions require being on call and perhaps some night shifts.
The Parking Supervisor will oversee all of the parking attendants. This includes but is not limited to coordinating locations, ensuring safety, training, and communicating schedules.
Politely and effectively control traffic flow and assist drivers with parking their vehicles to maximize the parking capacity inside our permit area. You must be at least 15 years of age, must be able to stand outdoors for extended periods of time and still be able to greet guests with a smile and you should be able to shovel snow and pick up litter in parking lots.
Plow Truck Driver
Clear the roads and parking lots of snow and ice. Must be willing to work early or late hours to make sure the mountain is ready for the next day. CDL License is required.
Shuttle guests and employees around the Snowbowl property including up Snowbowl Road. A report will be run to check on your driving history.
The Grooming Superivosr will oversee the maintenance of surface conditions to ensure a safe environment through efficient use of snow grooming equipment and effective management of grooming staff.
Maintain snow surface conditions in a manner our guests are accustomed to, work swing or graveyard shifts, perform light mechanical duties as well as pre-op/post-op machine checkouts. You should be at least 18 years of age and have a sense of what the quality of snow surfaces our guests require. This job requires a valid driver’s license.
Snowmakers work to get as much of the mountain as open as possible by making snow. Must be able to work swing or graveyard shifts depending on weather conditions. Must be willing to work in cold conditions.
As a Rental Technician, you must be able to fit guests with equipment to manufacturer’s specifications and carefully explain how to use the equipment. Attention to detail is a must!
Ski/Snowboard Repair Technicians
Repair technicians are knowledgeable people who can provide friendly, professional ski/snowboard repair services. Previous repair and/or tuning experience a must.
As a Retail Associate, you should be very customer/guest service oriented with product knowledge skills. You will have the ability to handle high sales volume days while maintaining the store standards (merchandising, cleaning, stocking). You will operate a Point-of-Sale (POS), handle cash and other forms of payment and be accountable for the cash drawer. You will also conduct monthly inventory counts.
Ski & Ride School Instructor
Ski & Ride School Instructors work outside all day and get to ski and snowboard. As a Ski Instructor Teach adult and children’s lessons. The basic function is to provide high quality and effective ski instruction to our guests, both adults and children. Seasonal, full & part-time positions available.
Ski Patrollers must be expert skiers and be an Arizona Certified EMT, OEC, or WFR. Ski Patrollers patrol the ski area ensuring all skiers and downhill and uphill travelers are conducting themselves in a safe manner. Some Ski Patrollers perform avalanche control. Sunset Terrain Park Associate
Terrain Park Associates man the terrain parks and ensure everyone is using the parks in a safe manner as well as doing some daily shoveling and maintenance on jumps and features. You should be an expert level skier or snowboarder and a CPR certification is a plus but not necessary.
Terrain Park Builder/Groomer
Maintain snow surface conditions in the terrain park including building features. You should be at least 18 years of age and have a sense of the types and sizes of features that our guests enjoy. This job requires a valid driver’s license.
Front Desk Clerk
As a Front Desk Clerk, you will check people in and out of the Cabins, make lodging reservations, and assist with restaurant takeout orders. You will reconfirm guest reservations prior to their arrival and check rooms to ensure cleanliness and no maintenance is necessary prior to guest arrival. You will be a friendly outgoing person with excellent multitasking skills.
Our Servers must possess a friendly demeanor with a bias for customer service. You will seat guests, take orders and put orders in and serve food. You will also help keep the lodge clean by bussing tables.
As a Housekeeper, you are in charge of maintaining all of the rooms at the lodge. You will clean, vacuum, dust, change linens, laundry, clean windows, etc. to Company standards.

When will the winter application be opened so I can apply?
All winter positions will be opened on our website on September 1, 2018!
Do I need to fill out an application?
If you have never worked at Arizona Snowbowl or if it has been over 3 years, then yes, please fill out an application. If you are a returning staff member, you can contact your manager or HR to talk about being rehired. You can also send a resume/cover letter to [email protected] if you are not able to get all applicable information on the application.
When is the job fair for the fall of 2018?
The on-site job fair at Snowbowl will be on November 6 from 3-7 pm at Hart Prairie Lodge. Hope to see you there!
Should I attend the job fair?
If you are wanting a position for the winter but have not been hired by Nov 6, then yes! Most departments will be hiring before that event as well as during the job fair.
Do I need to fill out an application online before the job fair?
We will have you fill one out online when you come to the job fair if you have not done that ahead of time. We do recommend to bring some resumes with you to the fair as the online application doesn’t always allow you to show all of your skills and experience.
Do you have transportation from NAU?
We are working on having more transportation options available for our staff. Most of our staff do carpool, so many people do not find transportation an issue once they get started.
I saw that your staff get free season passes, what happens if I already bought one?
We will be reimbursing passes near the end of the season for employees that have already purchased passes before being hired. The amount that you are reimbursed will depend on how long you were employed with us during the winter season.
Are there ways I can volunteer at Snowbowl?
Yes, we have 3 ways you can volunteer. First, the ski patrol department has the courtesy patrol to help and support if there is an incident or you can volunteer through National Ski Patrol. The second area that you can volunteer is as a part of our guest service department as a mountain host. Our mountain hosts are very cheerful, friendly, and helpful and are ready to help our guests if they have questions. The third program you can volunteer through is our adaptive ski program to help those with physical and mental disabilities enjoy getting on the mountain. How long does the season normally last?
We are planning to open on November 10, however most new staff won’t start until sometime in December (this will depend on how much of the mountain we can have open). The season typically goes until the middle of April or later.
Do you offer staff housing?
Unfortunately, at this time we do not offer any staff housing.
