Agassiz Lift Update 2/24

Dear Snowbowl Guests & Family,

What a weekend!

For those of you who looked longingly at Agassiz during the snowfall (we did, too), we have great news: our manufacturer just told us the part is in production and we are on track to have it completed on time. We’re still cautiously optimistic that we will reopen Agassiz on our projected date, March 8.

As a reminder, there is still plenty of work to do once the part is completed – from transporting it to the mountain to installing it and testing both the part and the lift. Nevertheless, we wanted you to know that we are on schedule, and we will continue to keep you updated here.

In the meantime, we invite you to join us at Snowbowl. The conditions after last weekend’s snow (storm total: 16″!) are phenomenal – check out the photos below – and OpenSnow says we can expect to see more snow as early as this weekend. While we await Agassiz’s reopening, don’t forget: all upper mountain terrain remains open for hike-to access.

One final note: I want to personally extend my thanks to everyone who joined us on Sunday for Community Benefit Day. Our ticket proceeds went directly to the Flagstaff Unified School District Foundation and I’m pleased to report that we will be writing a $12,500 check, thanks to you!

Respectfully,

Rob Linde
General Manager
